NICE TO MEET YOU HERE IN MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET

So, you're here because you're interested in my scholarship and/or creative pursuits. No worries. Here, I share a bit of both.

I am a communication scholar and digital media strategist based out of Washington, D.C. As a doctoral student in the Communication, Culture and Media Studies program at Howard University, I critically examine digital storytelling and the use of technology in health promotion and health seeking behaviors for marginalized communities. Prior to attending Howard, I earned my B.A. in Journalism from Hampton University and a M.S. in Marketing Management from Wilmington University.

Please find my academic CV, here.

For years prior to returning to academia, I focused on digital storytelling and strategizing for brands in areas such as social justice, higher education, entertainment, art, and non-profit organizations.

I believe the beauty of blurring the lines between marketing, public relations and digital strategy is the ability to tell a story in new and captivating ways.

With that, I still enjoy flexing my creative muscle as a communication consultant for organizations and brands that synergistically align with my passions of social organizing, education, art, technology and health for marginalized communities.

When not at work... I'm in the dirt. Gardening, that is. In a perfect world, I'd research new links between culture and health, garden daily, and create world peace.
