NICE TO MEET YOU HERE IN MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET

gfp-headshot-6.jpg

I am a qualitative researcher, public health, and communication scholar based in Washington, D.C. My work critically examines storytelling, culture, and the use of technology in health promotion and health-seeking behaviors within marginalized communities. I hold a doctorate in Communication, Culture, and Media Studies from Howard University, a B.A. in Journalism from Hampton University, and an M.S. in Marketing Management from Wilmington University.

You can find my CV here.

Before returning to academia, I spent several years focusing on digital storytelling and strategy for brands in social justice, higher education, entertainment, art, and non-profit sectors.

I enjoy using my creative skills as a communication consultant for organizations and brands that align with my passions for social organizing, education, art, technology, and health for marginalized communities.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me gardening or serving as a doula. In a perfect world, support birthing people, garden daily, and work towards creating world peace.
